Simmons Technology Corporation, began it’s water demand management journey in 2016 in Johannesburg South Africa, under the name Motheo Water. The company, through its unique water demand management software platform and Aquatrip leak detection systems was started to address the chronic water losses (37%) in the country as South Africa is the 29th driest country in the world. Since its inception, meeting with great success, the company has reduced client water losses by over 2 billion liters and today has several hundred clients utilizing its platform.
Recognizing the need for a company that worked independently of the water utilities to specifically assist clients in reducing their water losses on the “customer” side of the meter, led to the formation of Simmons Technologies to introduce our unique business model to clients in the United States. Simmons Technologies specializes in the supply of products and services to commercial and industrial water users of all sizes to better manage, monitor and reduce their water consumption and the associated costs thereof.
Founded by Thurlow Simmons, one of the original founders of Motheo Water, SImmons Technology offers both AMR and AMI capabilities, all designed to accurately identify water losses and billing anomalies. Our unique water loss management interventions such as automatic leak detection and water-on-demand, have seen customers reduce their utility expenditure up to 50% and higher!
